is a sectoral view of South African business conducted at the
five digit SICC (standard industrial classification code)
level. The research is not dependant on public domain
information as it is conducted through interviews with the
companies researched. It covers approximately 1800 top
companies in 180 sectors of which 80% are unlisted. The
content covers a detailed profile of all the significant
players in the sector, an organogram giving a snapshot
structure of the sector and an overview of the industry and
issues facing it.
Application
The reports provide a detailed ‘glance’ of the dynamics, characteristics and size of sectors as well as the key success factors and key risks facing the sector. In addition, the databases ‘skims’ the top end of each sector and presents a single page snapshot of the main players and a profile on each. The information is also used to quantify group risk.
