Manufacturing

This sector includes the physical or chemical transformation of materials, substances, or components into new products from raw materials that are products of agriculture, forestry, fishing, mining or quarrying. It also includes units engaged in manufacturing which are plants, factories or mills and characteristically use power-driven machines and materials-handling equipment. This broad sector includes the manufacturing of textiles, food, automotive, paper, electrical goods, rubber and plastics, wood products, computer and related products, telecommunication equipment, metals, beverages, transport and printing equipment.
