Adcock Ingram Holdings Ltd imports, exports, manufactures, researches, markets and distributes healthcare and pharmaceutical products in South Africa. The group's geographical footprint extends across Africa and the product portfolio includes branded and generic prescription medicines, over the counter and FMCG products, intravenous solutions, blood collection products, and renal dialysis systems. The company also manufactures and distributes Bioplus, a range of carbonated energy drinks that contains B-complex vitamins. The group has four manufacturing facilities, namely Clayville, Wadeville and Aeroton in South Africa, as well as one in India. Adcock Ingram has four business units: • Over the Counter (OTC) - Supplies a range of OTC produces, focusing on brands sold predominantly in the pharmacy market • Prescription - Supplies products prescribed by medical practitioners and dispensed against a prescription • Hospital - Supplies a portfolio of critical care products, intravenous solutions, blood collection products and renal dialysis systems, antiretroviral medicines, sports rehabilitation products, as well as sanitisers under the Adco brand • Consumer - Supplies products in the FMCG space, including self-medicating brands such as Panado and Bioplus
