AECI Ltd is the holding company for a group with interests in the production of commercial explosives and specialty chemicals for customers in the mining, manufacturing, agricultural, food and beverage, road infrastructure and general industrial sectors. The group operates in Africa, Europe, South East Asia, North America, South America and Australia. It operates a diversified group of 16 companies.\r\n\r\nThe group operates through it divisions and sub-division as follows:\r\n• AECI Mining - Provides a mine-to-mineral solution for the international mining sector. Services include commercial explosives, initiating systems, blasting services and surfactants for explosives manufacture across the value chain to chemicals for ore beneficiation and tailings treatment.\r\n• AECI Property Services & Corporate: Relates mainly to property leasing and management in the office, industrial and retail sectors. Corporate includes centralised functions namely, Treasury and Finance; Human Capital; Safety, Health and the Environment; Stakeholder Relations; Company Secretarial; Risk and Compliance; Environmental, Social and Governance; Information Technology; and Strategy Execution.\r\n• AECI Chemicals - Supplies traded, industrial and speciality chemical products; water treatment chemicals, technology, equipment and plant and crop protection products and plant nutrients. \r\n• AECI Managed Businesses - Businesses in this segment have been ringfenced for divestment and include AECI Schirm, Animal Health, Sans Fibers and Food and Beverage. These businesses supply to customers in agriculture, industrial, manufacturing, road infrastructure, food and beverage, public water, animal feed and products as well as the textile sector.
