Bell Equipment Ltd is a holding company that trades through its subsidiaries. The group manufactures, distributes and exports a wide range of materials handling equipment, both locally and internationally, through an extensive network of customer service centres and independent dealers. Products include articulated dump trucks, haulers, front end loaders, rough terrain forklifts, sugar cane and timber harvesting and loading equipment, trailers and related parts respectively for South Africa and Germany. It also supports a wide range of heavy equipment on a global scale to the mining, construction, quarrying, agriculture, forestry, and waste handling industries. Products are sold through an affiliated company, Bell Equipment Sales South Africa Ltd, through a network of 23 branches and independent dealers The group dissolved the distribution rights for Liebherr excavators, and underwent an agreement with Kobelco to distribute the Japanese excavator brand, along with John Deere forestry equipment and Terex Finlay, a manufacturer of mobile crushing, screening and recycling equipment.
