British American Tobacco Plc (BAT) is a global manufacturer and distributor of tobacco-related products with over 200 brands sold in more than 170 markets. In 2024 BAT sold 505 billion cigarettes and 6.1 billion OTP (stick equivalents) manufactured in 37 factories in 35 countries. Apart from cigarettes, British American Tobacco also manufactures cigarillos, roll-your-own tobacco, pipe tobacco, snus, 616 million units vapour products such as e-cigarettes, and next generation tobacco heating products. The group does not own tobacco farms and it does not directly employ tobacco farmers.
