PPC Ltd and its subsidiaries and joint ventures produce aggregates, milled slag, metallurgical-grade lime, burnt dolomite and limestone, mainly for the retail building industry.\r\n\r\nThe group has 5 integrated cement plants, 4 grinding stations, 3 cement blending plants, 2 aggregates quarries, 23 readymix plants and 2 fly ash plants with operations spanning South Africa, Botswana, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, the DRC, and Ethiopia. \r\n\r\nPPC Ltd was involved in a joint venture with a 37.67% stake in a cement manufacturing plant at Holeta (Habesha Cement) (Ethiopia). During the 2024 financial year the group disposed of its equity accounted investment in Habesha, Ethiopia realising a R23.0m profit.\r\n\r\nPPC Ltd sold its 51% shareholding in CIMERWA on 25 January 2024 for a total selling price of US$42.5 million.
