The company's core investments are a 36% stake in Dangote Cement South Africa (Pty) Ltd and 100% in Metier Mixed Concrete (Pty) Ltd. Metier manufactures ready-mix concrete products while Dangote Cement South Africa (Sephaku Cement) specialises in the mining of limestone and manufactures, markets and distributes cementitious products (cement, ash, and clinker). The group's production facilities, including its associates, consists of 15 readymix concrete plants (Metier) and 3 cement plants (Delmas cement-grinding facility, Sephaku ash plant, and the Aganang limestone opencast quarry and integrated clinker and cement manufacturing plant with a life of over 30 years). Sephaku Ash is a fly ash processing plant contracted with Eskom to remove waste from the coal-burning process at the Kendal Power Station. The ash produced from this plant is used as a cement extender. The group also has the following mining project: • Dwaalboom (Limpopo) - a calcrete deposit, located 8 kilometres south-west of Dwaalboom and about 80 kilometres west-south of Thabazimbi in Limpopo. Mining right application was granted in November 2018 for the mining licence. • Groblersdal - (Mpumalanga) Limestone exploration projects at various stages of development and the associate is in the process of applying for a mining license.
