South32 Ltd is a globally diversified mining and metals company producing bauxite, alumina, aluminium, energy and metallurgical coal, manganese, nickel, silver, lead and zinc, with operations in Australia, southern Africa and South America. South African operations include: • South Africa Manganese - comprises two manganese mines located in the Kalahari Basin and the Metalloys manganese alloy smelter in Meyerton. During 2026, the mines produced 2,085kwmt manganese ore. • Hillside Aluminium - operates as a smelter primary producing aluminium for the export and domestic markets. During 2026, Hillside produced 717kt aluminium. During the 2025 financial year, South32 Ltd completed its divestment of the Metalloys manganese alloy smelter19, which had been on care and maintenance since the 2020 financial year. As of 1 December 2025, South32 Ltd completed its divestment of Cerro Matoso in Colombia to an international nickel-focused company with an existing footprint. As of 29 August 2024, South32 sold its shareholding in Illawarra Metallurgical Coal to an entity owned by Golden Energy and Resources Pte Ltd and M Resources Pty Ltd.
