The SPAR Group Ltd wholesales and distributes foodstuffs, hair and skin care products, sanitisers and toiletries, reading materials and stationery, and operates various retail brands including SPAR retail grocery stores, Build it building materials outlets, TOPS at SPAR liquor stores and Pharmacy at SPAR healthcare and pharmacy outlets.

In South Africa, SPAR operates:
• 6 SPAR and TOPS major regional distribution centres
• 1 Build it building materials imports distribution centre
• 1 S Buys pharmaceutical distribution centre
• 1 Satellite warehousing hubs
• 1 Encore private Label distributions centre
These centres supply 2,523 independently owned SPAR stores on the African continent. The SPAR Group operates licences for Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique and Angola, serviced through its South African distribution centres.

The Irish operations includes 25 distribution depots which supply and service 1,161 independently owned SPAR, EUROSPAR, MACE, BWG Food Service, XL, Value Centre and Londis stores.

In a joint venture between Sri Lanka and Ceylon Biscuits Ltd, there are 42 stores in Sri Lanka under the SPAR, SaveMor, PharmacySPAR and tops brands.
