Zeda Ltd is an investment holding company for its subsidiaries that provide car rental, fleet management and leasing solutions under the Avis and Budget brands in South Africa and subSaharan African countries, namely, Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, eSwatini, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The group operates through the following two business segments: • Car Rental business: Provides short term rental and subscription solutions for periods not exceeding 12 months. Customers include individuals, travellers, corporates and government entities. • Leasing business: Provides long-term fleet leasing solutions for periods exceeding 12 months. Customers include corporates, SMMEs and public sector entities including national, provincial and local government. The group operates through a network of directly-operated, agency-operated and sublicensee-operated branches, with 71 Avis Rent A Car branches located in South Africa and 31 across southern Africa. There are 14 Avis Car Sales dealerships across South Africa. Other Avis locations include the rest of Africa, Asia, Australia Pacific, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America, Middle East, Canada and USA. Budget Rent A Car has 103 locations throughout South Africa, some of which operate from the same premises as Avis. The Zeda group has a fleet size of approximately 33,000 vehicles between the Car Rental (18,000 vehicles) and Leasing businesses. In addition, the Leasing business manages more than 240,000 vehicles.
