Alphamin Resources Corporation is a tin exploration and mining company which holds a controlling interest in Alphamin Bisie Mining SA (ABM). ABM, in turn, holds an exploitation permit and five exploration permits for the Bisie tin mining project in the North Kivu region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Mpama North is producing about 10,000 tons contained tin per annum at a cost of between US$10,000 – US$12,000 per ton Sn. Its life of mine is currently 12.5 years. Mpama South is located about 1,000 meters centre to centre from Mpama North. A total of 16 diamond core holes have been drilled into Mpama South.
