Renergen Ltd is the holding company with investments in the South African chemical and alternative energy sectors. The group's subsidiary, Tetra4, explores, develops, and markets compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied helium. Tetra4 holds the first and only, onshore petroleum production right in South Africa and its plant and compression facility (the Virginia Gas Project) is located in Virginia, Free State. The existing CNG plant includes a compression station, mobile storage units, and a dispensing station at the site of Tetra4’s customer. Once a new plant, located adjacent to Tetra4’s current facility, is operational, CNG production will cease at the Virginia Gas Project and will be replaced with the production of liquefied natural gas. Tetra4 also holds the Evander Exploration Right in Mpumalanga.
