The group is involved in the harvesting of wild-caught seafood and processing the catch into frozen and chilled seafood products and it also undertakes the marketing of these products to retail and food-service customers. Operations for the group include: • Sea Harvest International: Sea Harvest Australia is a vertically integrated fishing business headquartered in Fremantle, Western Australia. It provides produce to Australian and international consumers and includes Sea Harvest Australia and MG Kailis. The combined business operates 21 vessels, holding 25 prawn, 20 Spanish Mackerel and 5 fish trawl licenses. • Sea Harvest Aquaculture: Operations comprises abalone and oysters and employs 270 people across five locations. • Cape Harvest Food Group: Encompasses Sea Harvest’s factory shops, Ladysmith, Mooivallei, and BM Foods Group • South Africa operates 36 vessels. Operating from the Saldanha Bay harbour, the Group has 12 hake deep-sea vessels, comprising eight fresh fish vessels that feed the land-based fresh fish processing factory and four factory freezer vessels whose products are mainly targeted at the export markets. Operating from the Cape Town harbour, the Group has 16 vessels focused on deep-sea hake and Horse Mackerel. Five vessels operate out of Mossel Bay catching hake, pilchards and anchovies. Another three vessels operate from the Durban harbour focused on prawn catches. The Group operates four fish processing factories in South Africa. As of 31 December 2023, the group owned 57 vessels, 6 fish processing plants, 2 dairy processing facilities, 8 cold storage facilities, 9 factory shops and 3 aquaculture production facilities. Sea Harvest Group Ltd acquired the Mooivallei cheese operations in August 2021.
