It operates in five countries namely South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Lesotho, Mozambique and Tanzania and has a number of regional business offices throughout Africa, including offices in Ivory Coast, Angola, Kenya, Cameroon, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Mauritius, Zambia and Ghana.\r\n\r\nAs of 31 March 2024, the group had:\r\n• 203.1 million customers across its operations (South Africa: 51.7 million customers)\r\n• Total assets of R240.61bn\r\n• 46,273 network sites\r\n• 1.0m M-Pesa merchants and 617 000 M-Pesa agents\r\n• Approximately 9,100 retail stores in South Africa, 640 retail stores in Egypt and 300,000 retail points of presence in international business
